伊朗国家图书馆和档案组织是伊朗文化收集的重要组织，该组织成立于1939年，重点收藏伊朗学和伊斯兰教作品、儿童读物、图书馆学与参考书、波斯与阿拉伯文作品、手稿、视听资料等。伊朗国家图书馆和档案组织，外文名称:National Library and Archives，成立于1939年，总计书刊451,500卷;现刊905种;手稿18,700件;学位论文1,381件;地图1,295张;缩微品77,200件;视听资料10,162件;只读光盘19张;小册子4,098册。NLAI is an educational, research, and service institution whose statute has been ratified by the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Parliament). At the highest level, it is chaired by the President of the nation.The National Library of Iran was established in 1937. In 1979, the Tehran Book Processing Centre (TEBROC), and in 1999, the Islamic Revolution Cultural Documentation Organisation (IRCDO) were merged into the National Library. Thus, National Library and Documentation Organisation was created.Finally, in 2002 the latter was joined by the National Iranian Archives to make NLAI. Currently, the Organisation functions in two independent buildings. One is the new building of the National Library of Iran (NLI) and the other is the building of the National Archives of Iran (NAI).
